Brescia – Padova

Brescia played this game without three important players as they were called for int. duties. (Daprela, Lasik and Rossi)
and it was to be hard game for them, they were on +0.5 AH prior to the game. I did not know what to expect from them
as they played two funny games – very good against Juve Stabia and defensive and negative against Crotone. I have my
doubts about Brescia offence as they rely just too much on Caracciolo and if he will be marked out of the game they could
have problems to score. But I can’t judge them on this game really, just too tough game – they did have a bit more positive
approach as in game against Crotone.

Game was full of energy and despite Spezia going forward guest from Brescia took the lead after the cross found Buoy in
the 16m area, where he could score a goal without too much trouble. Spezia played very offensive and created chances,
quite a lot of them I could say, while Brescia relied on counters and wing play, where they did manage some solid chances
of their own. But after 39 minutes team were level, poor defending from Brescia, left striker Sansovini unmarked and he
scored from some 11 meters out – nice volley.

Things stayed same in 2nd half, only Spezia were creating much more chances, with Di Gennaro and Sanosivini + Okaka all
creating strong attacking unit. Spezia then took the lead after dubious penalty and Sansovini who was for me player of the
game, killed game off after some nice combination play that left Brescia backline stranded.

Padova played a game against Grosseto where they were heavily favoured to win the game, odds were set at around 1.75
@ -0.5, prior to the game and they have been falling. Padova came into this game after two performances I rated as bad
and a little more better - but with only one point taken against Virtus.

Game was as expected, Grosseto came for a point and Padova who has newly formed attack and midfield just failed to
get decent chances as guests often defended with 8 men behind the ball, with no major wish for attacking. First half was
bad, marked only by goal for Grosseto from corner. After that they pulled even more back and Padova really did not create
much. Equaliser came from set piece – corner where substitute Cuffa scored. Only after that Padova woke up and they did
create some good scoring chances they failed to create earlier in the game and they can be counted as unlucky not to have
scored. I rate Padova still a very mediocre team and a team in making and they will need time to gel upfront especially.

Team news

Brescia: All have trained except Benali and Felipe (both not important). Martina Rini
(rotation) ended training prematurely because of precaution. Back to the tam are now
Daprelà, Lasik and Rossi – all very important for the team (fist two defenders and Rossi a
midfielder) after commitments with national teams, while Cragno (primavera squad) is still
with the Under 19 team plus Magli is out - non important.

Brescia transferred two important players: Lorenzo Stovini 35 years old central defender
who played 43 games last season for Empoli. His words: “I cannot wait to give my
contribution to this group”.

Other is Daniele Corvia 27 year old attacker – former Roma youth, played for Lecce in A last
season. In his last season in B he scored 17 goals in 26 app. I do rate him as a huge plus for
Brescia, who as said relied just too much on Caracciolo. “I would not have difficulty playing
with Caracciolo or the other strikers in the squad. I can readjust to different roles in Empoli I
was deployed as a winger. Of course I prefer to stay in the area but for the good of the team
play anywhere.”

Padova: 90 minutes for Nwankwo Obiora (rotation-imp.) in African Cup of Nations
qualifier in match between Liberia and Nigeria. Roma loanee Viviani should get his debut, he
could be very important to Padova offence. De Vittis imp. midf. 3/1 and Felscher 1/0 rotation from are both
not named in the squad.

Predcited teams:
BRESCIA (3-5-2): Arcari; Ant.Caracciolo , Salamon, De Maio; Zambelli, Rossi, Budel, Bouy, Scaglia; Mitrovic, Caracciolo. Subs: Russo, Stovini, Finazzi, Picci, Rosso, Lancini, Corvia.

PADOVA (3-5-2): Anania; Cionek, Piccioni, Trevisan; Rispoli, Viviani, Nwankwo, Ze’ Eduardo, Renzetti; Farias, Granoche. Subs: Silvestri, Franco, Jelenic, Cuffa, Galli, Cutolo, Babacar.

With all this news, as Brescia team is full squad and with added two players and
return from national duties, I do like hosts. They did not play badly against Spezia in last
game, and if the dubious penalty would not be given they could have drawn the game.
Corvia might be the answer for too much static in offence as next to Caracciolo Brescia did not have experienced player on this level.

Padova so far did not impress me, they played two mediocre teams at home but only managed to draw them
both, but played highly spectacular game againt Livorno. With both misses they should be weaker, but Viviani can be a boost for them, still i found their attack to lethargic so far.

odds are currently set at 2.08@ -0.25 for Brescia and I do belive this one is a good bet, but due to the start of the season i prefer 1 unit on Brescia 0 @1.74, which is 1st official bet from this round.
Brescia with full squad to choose from, Calori on bench – and I rate him highly and Brescia
performances have been of a much higher standard and they probably did not deserve to
loose neither against Crotone and were unlucky against Spezia. Padova did look bad agasint both teams that are
surely far lower under quality Brescia has.

Three official bets from Serie B this weekend, no lost bets for 2nd week in a row:

This week we had:
Brescia 0 @1.74 for 1 unit 0-0 void
Sassuolo -0.75 @ 1.91 for 3 units 2-1 half won +1.36 units
Modena +0.5 @ 1.82 for 1.5 units 2-2 won +1.23 units

the yearly record now stands at:

Records so far – season 2012/13:
Friendlies: 1 win, 0 void, 0 lost
Copa Italia: 1 win, 0 void, 0 lost
Round 1: 4 wins, 1 void, 0 lost
Round 2: 5 wins, 0 void, 2 lost
Round 3: 2 wins, 1 void, 0 lost
Round 4: 1.5 wins, 1.5 void, 0 lost

Overall: 14.5 wins, 3.5 void, 2 lost

4/4 winning weekends - all bets are proofed by independent source.

Some thoughts about todays games in Europa league concerning Italian teams:

Lazio: coach Petkovic said he will not rotate his team so the best Lazio have should play.
My thoughts: no way he can change mentality, Lazio does not give a rats ass about Europa league.
Prediction: Spurs win valued @ around evens is decent one

Udinese: Team is anounced, Di Natale is there, as are all strongest available (also some injured):
My thoughts: Strong rotation, no motivation again from Italian team, Di Natale maybe in 70th minute
Prediction: Anzhi on 0 AH looks like a very solid bet to me, Russians with different approach and Etoo happy to be back in Italy.

Inter: Predicted lineup: Handanovic; Jonathan, Silvestre, Samuel, Nagatomo; Zanetti, Gargano, Pereira; Livaja, Cassano, Coutinho
My thougts: Read up.
Predcition: no value in -0.5 for Inter, no creativity do mean under 2.5 @ 1.84 should be worth a shot (read: decent bet)

Napoli: Hamsik and Cavani are 99% on bench, also some other rotations are possible
My thoughts: Napoli at least for me, looks like only Italian club from mentioned ones, who could at least try and win this game.
Prediction:I dont know crap about AIK, hcp is huge, no bet by a long way.
